Patricia was a Kindhearted, caring and giving individual. She was small in stature but strong in heart; tiny but mighty. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She graduated from Shinglehouse High School in Pennsylvania and traveled to Washington D.C. where she met and married Alton Wm. Black, Sr On December 22, 1946. They traveled throughout the United States and eventually settled in Carlsbad, California after Alton retired from the Marine Corps. They were married for 60 years and raised six children.
Patricia is survived by her children: Alton Wm. Black, Jr of Carlsbad; Shirley Duron and spouse, Oscar, of Grants Pass, Oregon; Susan Walker and spouse, Joe, of North Bend, Oregon; Joe Black and spouse, Linda, of Auburn, Washington; Mary Mager and spouse, Gary, of Portland, Oregon; John Black and spouse, Ginger, of El Cajon, California; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Wm Black, Sr, granddaughter Anne Attleson, and brothers Bob, Bill and Jim.
