

He was the youngest of 9 children and the last surviving child of the family. Ralph moved to California in 1947 after a short stint of working in the nickel mines of Idaho. He soon got employed by Safeway Market and subsequently spent the next 40 years in the grocery business working as a clerk for Mayfair Markets and Shoppers Market as well as Safeway.
He lived in Escondido, Oceanside and Carlsbad. In 1954 he bought the property on Harding Street and was told “you’re as far out in the country as you want to be.” He lived the rest of his life on this property.
Ralph was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings. He was also predeceased by 2 sons; John of Las Vegas, Nevada (2005) and Robert, aka Bob, of Carlsbad, California (2008). His wife, Lillian, also predeceased him in 2015.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Goulart (John) of Oceanside, California; James Stimpson of Vista, California; and Joseph Stimpson of Carlsbad, California; and a daughter-in-law, HaeSon (Kim) Stimpson of Las Vegas, Nevada. There are also 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Ralph was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
