He was 82 year old. He is survived by his brother, Jim K. Koga. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tetsutaro and Setsuko , and his siblings Amy, Eugene, Agnes, Edith and Shirley.
Richard always enjoyed working with his hands, fixing cars and building structures.
He worked as a civilian mechanic at Camp Pendleton until he retired. He also was a volunteer
National Guardsman. After he retired, he spent most of his time fulfilling his dream of building
his own home.
Richard will be remembered as a down-to-earth, generous man with a dry sense of humor, who always watched over those he loved.
A private family burial will be held at Eternal Hills in Oceanside on Monday, July 30th.
