I met Richard in Stevenson Jr. HIGH in East L.A. in the 7th grade in a speech therapy class and we became fast, close friends.  I was also close to his large family.  Even though he went to Roosevelt High and I went to Garfield High, we were still close attending social functions together and he became very close to all my friends.

My marriage and job opportunity for my husband took our family to Arizona where we still reside.  Close friend, Toni Yturri Aguayo  called me and told me the sad news.  Richard will always remain in my heart and the wonderful good times we had together.  My deep condolences to his wife and daughters.
