

It is with deep respect and sincere sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Fierros, a United States Marine Corps Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, who left this life on November 6th at the age of 95.
He passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on October 6th 1930 in San Antonio Texas, Robert lived a life marked by courage, discipline, and devotion to others. He proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps,
dedicating two full decades to the defense of the nation and the Marines who stood beside him. Throughout his career, he demonstrated unwavering loyalty and resilience qualities that defined him both in uniform and beyond it.
Robert’s bravery in the line of duty was recognized with the Purple Heart, awarded for wounds sustained in combat. This honor reflected not only the sacrifices he made but the extraordinary character he displayed in the most difficult moments of service.
After retiring from the Marine Corps, Robert continued to live by the values of honor, courage, and commitment.
He devoted himself to assisting teachers at the local elementary schools with students that were learning English as a second language. He was known by teachers and students for his steady presence and generous spirit.
To his family and friends he was a rock, a man of wisdom, kindness & guidance.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife Olga, to whom he was married for 70 years, his father, mother and brother Gilbert Sr. Lupe and Gilbert Jr Fierros.
He is survived by his sisters Irene Senia & Lupita Reintsma and their children. His seven children, Elizabeth, Robert, Catherine, Olivia, Margarette, Mark & Rebecca and their children, Ryan, Eric, Charles, Angela, Damian, Renee, Lennen, Alicia, and Clint and 2 Great Grand daughters Mila & Ainsley who will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and wisdom he shared.
A service honoring Robert’s life and military service will be held on November 24 2025 One o’clock at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Oceanside CA with full military honors. Burial and reception will follow.
Robert’s legacy—as a Marine, a Purple Heart recipient, and a family man of integrity—will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
