I find myself wishing I could be with you all on this day.  Roy's life is very much worth celebrating.  I have extremely fond memories of this older cousin who was always such a positive influence.  My love for photography was greatly enhanced by Roy, who always took time out to show me his camera equipment and the many photos from his journeys.  For that any many other lasting memories I thank him, and my love to Karen.

You were such an amazing uncle, and could always manage to put a smile on my face. You will be deeply missed.

People who enjoyed life to the fullest as Roy did, are an inspiration to us all.

I met Roy in the late 1970s at a party at his "Resort" in Clairmont.  Over the years Roy taught me that it was possible to be a successful business person and a generous and liberal citizen at the same time.  

Roy was a unique man and my life is enriched for the time we spent together.  He was a humble man who accomplished much.  He listened to his own drummer more than most, and I am thankful that we shared some of the notes.

Mr. Roy was a very good friend for many years, always concerned about the well being of my family, thank you Roy and Karen for everything you have done for us.

Roy and Karen grew up with us over the last thirty five years. We have many memories that are dear and fond... like Roy entering the hat contest each year at Del Mar (see pic). He will be sorely missed and we grieve for Karen.

Roy shared his deep pride and love for Karen his soulmate, his unique home, his RVing adventures, and his avo groves with me and Tom for many years but still much too short a time.  Roy, you were a true friend and I'll honor your spirit and miss you always.  Love you, Karen.

It was nice working with you at IHC Pharmacy,  I miss Disco Fridays they made the day go by quickly, You always had good music Parrot Head, you will be truly missed.  Love and Prayers to Karen.

You were the BEST uncle a girl could ask for. Camping trips in the snow, Hide and seek when I was young (even though you cheated by calling out my name, knowing I would always answer with a loud "WHAT", giving away my hiding spot) , Easter mornings egg hunts, Jacquzzi time while we watched "Santas house", Gator rides,  and all the "OOPS" which meant you may have cut your finger off... You were a huge part in molding me into the person I am today. I'll like you forever, I'll love you for always, as long as I'm living my Uncle you'll be <3

What I'll always remember about my brother-in-law, Roy, was his quality of life; love of humor, love of family, love of adventure, love of good food, love of music.  His memory forever etched everywhere.

My deepest sympathies to my childhood friend Karen Long.  I met Roy only once during a visit to their home in 1998.  In preparation for my visit to their home Roy projected onto the far wall of their home a greater than life size picture of Karen and I as cheerleaders in high school.  Without even knowing him he made me laugh within the first minute of walking into their home.  I know he must have enriched many lives, and I only wish I could have visited Karen and Roy more often.

Roy was always so much fun to be with when we were kids. I wish I had known him more as an adult. I am sorry for your loss.

To a Great Big Brother and a Great Uncle - you will be missed.
