Thomas Lorenzo Williamson, age 57, of Oceanside, California passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020 in Guam. Thomas was born in Burlington, North Carolina on October 4, 1962 to Callie Patrick and Marvin Williamson. He is survived by his wife (Anna), his children (Ashley, Kendra, Marcus, Shawna and Ashley), his grandchildren (Robert, Serenity, Ezra, Sean, Trinity, Malyssa, Mailieah, Mason, and Micah), and his siblings (Dorthene, Larry, Richetta, and Johnny).
Thomas has always led by example, he challenged himself every day to reach his full potential and make the most of his life. He encouraged everyone around him to be their best, simply by being himself. He devoted 25 years of his life to the United States Marine Corps and proudly retired as a Master Gunnery Sergeant, a true hero. He was the proud recipient of many military awards, to name a few; Combat Action Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal (Saudi Arabia and Kuwait), Southwest Asia Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and many more. He always valued education and went on to get his Bachelors degree Computer Science and continued his expertise of cyber security.
We can all agree that Thomas did whatever he wanted. He invested his time doing things he enjoyed and with people he loved. He spent most of his life bowling, weekly in leagues and traveling for tournaments. Without a doubt he was gifted, but like everything in his life he put in the work to become an expert at his craft and accomplished what most that bowl dream of; multiple perfect 300 games.
In 2014, he got his first Harley Davidson motorcycle. He always said riding was his therapy, a way of life, and what made him feel most free. He would blast the best music from his Harley at 5 AM leaving for work and come home the same way, his wife would wait every day for the sound of his motorcycle engine as he entered the neighborhood so she could open the garage door to be greeted by his beautiful big smile.
May he continue to live in our hearts through our special memories, may his beautiful and contagious smile continue to brighten even the darkest days, and may his friends and family always remember his work ethic, his humble attitude, his kindess, and most importantly may we always feel his gentle and powerful love.
