Born on June 30, 1951, in Itogon, Benguet, Philippines, Tony earned a degree in Mining Engineering before moving to the United States. In 1976, he joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served for 20 years at Camp Pendleton.
Even while serving in the military, Tony’s tireless work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit shone through. He earned his real estate license and began helping families find homes, often working evenings and weekends after his military duties. During tax season, he volunteered with the VITA program, assisting young military families with their tax returns—a service he continued even after retirement. What started in his garage eventually grew into a thriving tax and real estate business, built on trust and dedication.
A man of few words and quiet strength, Tony was deeply devoted to his faith and lived out his beliefs through action. His favorite Bible verse was 1 Thessalonians 4:11: “Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, mind your own business, and work with your hands, just as we told you.” He embodied this scripture daily. Another verse close to his heart was Mark 8:36: “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?”
Tony found peace in gospel music and sermons, which he often listened to during rare moments of rest. Though he didn’t seek out social events, his clients and those he helped became his community. His strong work ethic, humility, and quiet generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren. He will be remembered not only for his service and dedication but also for the quiet grace with which he lived his life. His legacy of faith, hard work, and service will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
We love you, Tony. You will be deeply missed.
Rest in peace.
