Valentino Pascetti

Valentino Pascetti went to our Lord on September 8, 2019. He was born in Dawson, New Mexico on March 9, 1927. He was the youngest of 6 brothers and 1 sister. He married the love of his life, Mary Dahlia (Dal) Sandoval on November 1, 1948. They have 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. For 71 years they were devoted to each other and their children. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp and was stationed at Camp Pendleton as an Amphibious Equipment Mechanic. He fought in WW11 and the Korean War. He was honorably discharged at the age of 39 after 22 years of service to his country. In the following years he worked Civil Service and at the Oceanside School district until the young age of 80. He served our Lord and his Church; St. Mary’s Star of the Sea and was a lifelong Member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping, and a good game of Cribbage as well as visiting with his children. He was a devoted husband, loving father and loyal friend. He will be missed by many, but none more than his wife, children and their spouses who were blessed to have this sweet, loving man in their lives. Rest in Peace Dad, you were the best. Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea, Friday, September 20th at 11 a.m. Burial service immediately following at Eternal Hills Memorial Park Reception following at the Pascetti Home
