Valerie Joelle Hanson

Valerie Joelle (Finks) Hanson, died in the late morning, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 during complications during surgery to replace wires in the pacemaker device she needed due to a congenital heart defect.

Valerie was born October 13, 1973, in Fresno, Ca, and lived there until the age of 18, when she married the love of her life, David Hanson. Valerie was a wonderful wife, mother, and a homemaker like no other. Valerie was known as everyone’s friend, and always had a smile on her face. She is and will always be missed.

She is survived by her husband David Hanson, children Madison, Gabriella and Nathan, parents Jim and Carol Finks, brothers Christopher, Doug, and Joel, and members of extended family.

Services will be held Monday and Tuesday, November 9/10, 2015. Monday is a viewing for friends and family held from 4pm-8pm. Tuesday is Valerie’s celebration of life starting at 1pm. Both services will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside Ca. 92054.

Her burial will be held later in a private ceremony for family on November 18, at Miramar National Cemetery.

In honor of Valerie’s signature lipstick, her family has asked that everyone accessorize with hot pink as they see fit. The family has also requested that people do not wear black to the service on Tuesday as it is a celebration of Valerie and her beautiful life.
