He joined his sister, Mary Jane and brother, David in the family. Walt's alma mater was Gardena High School - the Mohicans. Rather than graduate with his class, Walt and his two closest friends, Earl and Bob, enlisted in the US Navy in June of 1944. Walt completed his education at the school currently known as California State University Los Angeles with a bachelor degree. He followed his father into the printing business, owning his own shop for many years. Some of his clients included the Los Angeles Lakers and the Kings. He also managed the printing operations for Hollywood park, Disney and Sea World in December 1993. Walt lived the last 20 years in Oceanside, California where he loved the temperate climate and the closeness of his extended family.
