Zoë Antoinette Heath was born in Glendale, CA on October 8, 1926. She was the fifth child born to Zoe and Roy Heath and is the fourth generation of women in her family to be named Zoë. She grew up in Duluth, MN with three brothers and two sisters. Being the oldest girl she helped raise her siblings during the Great Depression all while dreaming of becoming a model and moving to California.
That dream finally came true at the age of 16 when her family moved to Pasadena, CA. This is where she started her family and then realized her dream by appearing in several fashion shows and print ads. She then worked as an Executive Assistant at the Unocal Oil Company for 30 years until retirement. It was during this time that she battled and survived breast cancer.
In retirement Zoë was active as the social director for several communities planning social events, exercise groups and more. She moved to Oceanside, CA in 1997 to enjoy the tropical sunshine and beach weather, partaking in walks at the pier and around the beach.
Zoë passed away on February 23, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. Both sons, Steve and Michael, preceded her in death, and she is survived by her daughter Zoe, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She had an amazing attitude towards life and held near and dear to her heart the philosophy of being “Forever Young.”
