Funeral services for Amy M. Barrett, age 38 of Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (Jan 6, 2015) at 5:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 1:00-5:00pm at the funeral home. Amy passed away on Friday (Jan 2, 2015) unexpectedly at her home.

Surviving are her two daughters Alice & Shannon Barrett; her mother Alice LaRue; a brother Raymond LaRue; a sister Eleanor Robledo & her husband Craig Thompson and her grandmother Eleanor Ibey all of Ogdensburg; a step brother Richard LaRue; step-sisters Loretta Pond & her husband Michael of MA, Brenda & Fern LaRue of Ogdensburg; Bonnie Tickner of Rochester; a special niece Seven Robledo; an aunt Barbara Thurston & her husband Lonnie of Ogdensburg along with many step-nieces & nephews. Her father Raymond G. LaRue Sr. in 2010 and her grandfather Carl Ibey in 1990 predeceased her.

Amy was born in Ogdensburg on March 31, 1976, the daughter of Raymond G. LaRue Sr. & Alice (Ibey) LaRue. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married John Barrett which ended. During her career she was employed at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home, Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, Medlink and Walmart where she has been employed for the past 10 years.

She enjoyed going to the casino, couponing, going to drag shows and spending time with her children, family and friends. Memorial contributions have been requested to the family to assist with incurred expenses. Condolences can also be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
