Funeral services for Anastasia "Ann" Cordwell Casselman, age 88 of Ogdensburg, will be held on Saturday Dec 8, 2018 at 3:45pm at the Foxwood Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. Paul Dettmer officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Saturday from 3:00pm until the time of the service. Mrs. Casselman passed away at her home on Friday (November 30, 2018) under the care of her family and Hospice. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving are two daughters Suzanne Messenheimer of North Carolina and Janice English of Lisbon; three grandchildren Carrie Antonacci & her husband Jason of North Carolina, Jayson Smith & his wife Nancy of Lisbon and Jeffrey Smith & his wife Stacy of Ogdensburg; along with four great-grandchildren Gwendalyn Smith, Morgan, Kiara & Carson Antonacci.
She was predeceased by her husband George Casselman in 2003, a great-granddaughter Mara Smith in 2000, a brother-in-law Malcolm J. Casselman, and her sister-in-law, Patricia (Casselman) Worden, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ann was born on March 18, 1930 in Ogdensburg NY, only daughter of the late A. Sage & Mary (Mitchell) Cordwell. She attended Friends School in Philadelphia, PA and graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy. She later married George E. Casselman on Sept 1, 1948 at the Baptist Church in Ogdensburg.
Ann was a stay at home mother and wife that enjoyed traveling, visiting Hawaii and spending time with her family.
