A Celebration of Life Service for Andrew L. Johnson, age 55 of Heuvelton, will be held on Saturday July 20th at 1:00pm at the Rensselaer Falls Fire Hall. Andy passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday (June 27, 2019).

Surviving is his wife Robin Johnson; a son Andrew Johnson II; two daughters Nicole (David) Liscum and Chasity Johnson all of Heuvelton; three grandchildren Owen, Bryce & Ian Liscum; two brothers Scott (Jolene) LaSiege of Rensselaer Falls and Peter LaSiege of Heuvelton; two sisters Susan (Troy) Combs of Oneida and Lisa (Jason) Poore of Heuvelton; his mother-in-law Carol Hanna Smith of San Antonio TX; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

His parents Junior & Nancy LaSiege; and his father-in-law David Hanna predeceased him.

Andy was born on April 21, 1964 in Canton NY, a son of Junior & Nancy (Perry) LaSiege. He graduated from Canton High School where he wrestled and was a Section X champion. After graduating, he attended Herkimer Community College. He later married Robin (Hanna) on May 20, 1989 in Rensselaer Falls.

During his career he was employed as a lineman for Henkels & McCoy, Verizon and later returned to Henkels & McCoy. He was a member of the Sons of Amvets in Heuvelton and enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Syracuse Basketball, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

There are no words that can express the sympathy that Claude and I are sending to all of Andy's family and friends on this sad loss. Thinking of all of you and we are here for you. Andy would always light up a room. I will miss hearing him say “hey kid!” Whenever he would see me. I know Nancy and Junior welcomed them home with loving arms.
