Funeral services for Anne will be held Tuesday, beginning with visitation from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum, followed by a service officiated by Rev. Walter Smith.
Born in Ogdensburg on July 10, 1950, Anne was the daughter of the late George and Dora (Banford) Wright. She graduated from Heuvelton Central and later married Lynn A. Denner.
Throughout her life, Anne worked in many different roles, including as a nursing attendant, bus driver, and childcare provider. She also spent time farming. No matter what she was doing, Anne was someone who cared deeply for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Anne especially enjoyed spending time with her family, making memories with her grandchildren, and relaxing at her summer camp in Heuvelton. She loved being outdoors and took great pleasure in feeding the wildlife. These simple moments brought her happiness and reflected the joy she found in everyday life.
Anne is survived by her daughters, Kim (Stan Piercey) of Ogdensburg, Shelly (Marc) Hamilton of Ogdensburg, and Kristy (Brad) Thornton of Canton; her grandchildren, Taylor (Jake) Helwig, Garrett (Katie) Piercey, Carly Piercey, Mark Gilbert, Dustin (Catharine) Gilbert, Trevor (Melissa) Rolfe, Gaven (Scotlyn) Thornton, Hadleigh Thornton, and Lainey Thornton; and her four great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Olivia, Bennett, and Emersyn. She is also survived by her brothers, Dick Wright of Ogdensburg, Jerry Wright of Montana, Paul Wright of Ogdensburg, and Mike Wright of Ogdensburg; her sisters, Bonnie (Dick) Powers of Ogdensburg, Carol Ashton of Ogdensburg, and Arlene Longshore of Heuvelton; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Lynn, her parents, and two brothers Carl & James Wright.
Anne leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and cherished memories. She will be remembered for her kindness, her happy spirit, her love of family, and the countless ways she brought warmth and joy into the lives of those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center. Condolences and fond memories can be shared online at www.foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
