She later completed high school at Heuvelton, and graduated in 1948. She continued her education at Wallace Secretarial School for Girls in Ogdensburg and graduated in 1950. Arlene then worked as a manager for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for a while, until she was offered the job of Area Manager of the Diet Workshop for the North Country. She retired in 1992. Arlene was a long-time member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon and Elder among other activities. She loved music and sang in the church choir, Morning Musicals and Northern Choral. She had a love of books and was an avid reader. She also loved animals, and had miniature poodles for several years until moving to Centennial Apartments, when she then adopted a cat from the SPCA. Arlene was always there for me when I needed her. Unfortunately, I didn't always do the same for her. Arlene was a loving, giving, caring person who always gave more than she got in return.
But she loved her family & friends anyways. Arlene loved Jesus and has now seen him face to face, her eyes returned to normal sight.
I've always held Arlene in my heart.
Thank you Lord for her life.
