Audrey was born on October 17, 1942, in Ottawa, Ontario, the beloved daughter of the late Wellesley and Marie Laure Rose (Boucher) Hull. She was raised in a close-knit family and developed a lifelong love of learning that would shape her future as an educator.
She attended Elwood Public School, Glene Collegiate, S. Carlton High School, Ottawa Teachers College, and later Potsdam State University, where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education. Audrey devoted her life to teaching and nurturing young minds. She began her career at Richmond Public School. In 1979, she joined the Ogdensburg City School District as an elementary school teacher, where she remained until her retirement in 2013. For generations of students, Audrey was not only a teacher, but a mentor, encourager, and steady source of kindness.
On June 29, 1963, Audrey married the love of her life, Edward Earl Green, beginning a partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and unwavering support.
Above all else, Audrey cherished her family. She delighted in time spent together and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—crocheting, knitting, sewing, writing, reading, walking, and camping. Her gentle spirit, creativity, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
Audrey is survived by her loving husband, E. Earl Green of Ogdensburg; her son Dan (Tina) Green of Ogdensburg; her treasured grandchildren Drew, Luci, Sonja, and Max Green; and her siblings: Ken (Heather) Hull of Smith Falls, Ontario; Donnie (Janet) Hull of Ann Caster, Ontario; Steve (Diane) Hull of Smith Falls, Ontario; David (Sharon) Hull of Ashton, Ontario; Bob (Darcy) Hull of North Carolina; Gerry (Mary Ann) Hull of Eganville, Ontario; Martha Diane (Garnet) Vaughn of Richmond, Ontario; Sharon Elizabeth (Allen) Sadler of North Gower, Ontario; Susan (Skip) LaFreniere of Waterloo, Ontario; and Leona (Rob) LaBine of St. Paul, Alberta. She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her son Dean Green; her brothers Larry Hull and Allan Douglas Hull; and her sister Margaret Elaine Johns.
