

A Mass of Christian Burial for Barbara “Ann” Corrice, age 88 of Minoa, NY and formerly of Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday (January 10, 2022) at 1:30pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg.
Mrs. Corrice passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse on December 31, 2021. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving is her son Walter “Storm” Corrice Jr. & his husband Michael Emmons of Minoa, NY; grand-animals Shamrock & Clover; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2010; a son Theodore in 2019; two brothers Robert & Theodore LaVenture and three sisters Marguerite Barney, Lois Sprague and Mary Rapin.
“Ann” was born on August 5, 1933 in Rutland, Vermont, a daughter of the late Theodore N. & Sarah (Loveday) LaVenture. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1953, and later married Walter F. Corrice on May 26, 1962 at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
During her career she worked at Franks Department Store and later at Newell’s Manufacturing as a laborer from 1969 to 1990 when she retired. She enjoyed listening to music, watching TV, socializing with friends and her grand-animals.
