Funeral services for Bryan E. Bogardus, age 38 of Jefferson Avenue in Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (July 12, 2011) at 10:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Msgr. Harry K. Snow officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday (July 10th) from 2-4pm & Monday from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Bryan died early Friday morning at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Surviving is his wife Yvonne, his parents Penny & James Bogardus III of Morristown; a grandmother Ruth W. Bogardus of Morristown; a son Zackary; two step-daughters Brooke & Kerstin Massia; two sisters Yvette Barney & her husband Brad of Hammond, Brandy Bogardus of Macomb and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins.
He was predeceased by grandparents James H. Bogardus Jr., Edward J. & Helen J. Macaulay; and two uncles Robert J. Macaulay & Michael J. Moore Jr.
Bryan was born on June 7, 1973 in Ogdensburg, NY the son of James & Penny (Macaulay) Bogardus. He graduated from Morristown Central High School and then continued his education at Canton College where he received a degree in construction engineering.
In his younger years he worked construction and was an insurance agent until 2000 when he became a NYS Correctional Officer in Malone. He enjoyed spending time at his hunting camp, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling, cooking, watching his children’s sporting events and spending time with his family and friends.
Memorial contributions have been requested to the Morristown Volunteer Fire Dept.
