David B. Beldock

Funeral Services for David “Peanut” B. Beldock, age 92, of Ogdensburg and formerly of Lisbon, will be held at 11:00am on Friday (Sept 18, 2026) at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum Chapel with Deacon Mark LaLonde officiating. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum.

Surviving is his wife, Florence “Sissy”; three sons, David (Barbara) Beldock Jr. of Lisbon, Steven (Peggy) Beldock of Lisbon, and Christopher Beldock of Waddington; daughters, Martha Buckley of Waddington, Ann (Scott) Wells of Lisbon, and Susan Bouchey of Lisbon; step-sons, Larry James (Rebecca) Bracy of Virginia and Andrew (Kristi) DeDekker of Ogdensburg; step-daughter, Debbie Bracy-DeDekker of Ogdensburg; a brother, Clifford Baldock of Heuvelton and a sister, Elsie Carr of Canton. He also leaves behind several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will remember him fondly.

David was predeceased by six brothers, James Baldock, Francis, Edwin, Webster, Louie, and Carl Beldock; and two sisters, Florence Planty and Elaine Hawk.

He was born in Ogdensburg on June 11, 1934, the son of the late James and Florence (Shampine) Baldock. David attended Lisbon High School and later proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956.

David was first married to Norma Spears, who predeceased him. On July 19, 2015, he married Florence “Sissy” McDonald, and together they shared many happy years.

David’s greatest pride was his farm in Lisbon, which he owned and operated for many years. Farming was more than a job to David—it was a way of life. He worked hard from sunup to sundown, taking pride in the land he cared for and the life he built through his own hands. He continued farming until his retirement in 2005.

He was a member of the Lisbon American Legion and the Heuvelton AmVets. In his free time, David enjoyed bowling, four-wheeling, and especially his morning coffee at the Ogdensburg Diner, where he enjoyed good conversation and the familiar faces of friends. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandson Patrick and the simple moments shared together with other family members.

David will be remembered as a hardworking farmer, a proud veteran, a devoted husband, father and grandfather; a man who valued family, friendship, and a good day's work. His legacy will live on through the family he loved and the many lives he touched. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club.
