David M. Reynolds

David is survived by his son, Mark Reynolds and his companion, Marete Seymour, his daughter, Megan Reynolds; and his cherished step-granddaughter, Estelle Seymour. He was predeceased by his brother, Laurence "Steve" Reynolds Jr.

Born in Albany on March 17, 1951, David was the son of the late Laurence S. and Marion "Pat" (Perry) Reynolds. He graduated from Madrid-Waddington Central School in 1969 before continuing his education at Morrisville College and later transferring to Canton ATC, where he earned an Associate Degree in Business. He went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Clarkson University in 1976.

On November 19, 1977, David married Beth O'Brian. They divorced after 30 years of marriage.

David began his professional career at Jefferson National Bank in Waddington before taking a position with Massena Savings & Loan, where he worked for 18 years. Later in life his banking career continued at St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union for six years. He also drove for Seaway Valley Ambulance Service, where he was able assist members of his community with compassion and dependability.

Hardworking and resourceful, David built several homes in Waddington, which he maintained as rental properties. He had many interests that brought him joy, including riding motorcycles, spending time at his camp in Parishville, playing the guitar, attending car races, and being with his family. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or enjoying the outdoors, David treasured the moments spent with those he loved.

David believed in serving his community and gave generously of his time as a member of the Waddington Volunteer Fire Department and the Red Knights Motorcycle Club. His strong work ethic, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on friends, neighbors, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

David's family will remember him as a loving father, devoted grandfather, loyal friend, and a man who showed kindness to others as well as a willingness to help his community. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

To celebrate Dave’s life, the family will be hosting a gathering for friends and loved ones on Saturday, August 1st from 12 pm to 3 pm. All are welcome to stop by the American Legion on Fenton Street in Waddington to share stories and remember him. Please come hungry. Chicken BBQ will be provided with Dave’s family recipe.
