Funeral services for David W. Yost, age 66 of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (April 7, 2018) at 2:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Ogdensburgh Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held also on Saturday from 12:00pm until the time of the funeral. Mr. Yost passed away on Saturday (Mar 31st) at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility.
Surviving are his children Chad, Jamie & Angela Yost of Rochester; his sister Lorraine Yost of Ogdensburg; a niece Lisa Chase of Ogdensburg and nephew Stephen Bogart of Ogdensburg; great-nieces Kaitlin, Erica, Trista & Graci Chase and Sydney Bogart and great-nephew William Bogart.
David was born on October 14, 1951 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Robert & Rita (Barnes) Yost. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1972 and entered the US Army. He was medically discharged from the military after an accident.
David worked as a therapy aide for the State Developmental Center in Newark NY for 20 years prior to becoming disabled in the early 80’s. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, riding motor cycles, tinkering with electronics and building model airplanes and cars.
