Diana S. Brooks

Calling hours will be held also on Thursday (Nov 6th) from 1:00 to 3:00pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Brooks passed away on Tuesday (October 28, 2014) at Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, VT surrounded by her family.

Surviving is her father Donald Gravelle of Staatsburg, NY, her longtime companion Joseph Lipinsky of Ogdensburg; her children Diana George & her husband Philip of Ogdensburg, Amos Brooks & his wife Dee of Ogdensburg and Dean Brooks & his wife Danielle of Hammond; three brothers David Gravelle & his wife Tina of PA, Paul Gravelle & his wife Karen of Norwood, Joel Gravelle of FL; a sister Gloria Bray & her husband Lee of Heuvelton; nine grandchildren Joshua Barkley & his wife Jennifer, Felicia Barkley, Logan Brooks, McKenna Brooks, Elon Brooks, DJ Brooks, Miley Brooks & Sunny Brooks; four great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Her mother Helen Gravelle and a grandson Damion Barkley predeceased her.

Diana was born on Aug 26, 1951 in Plattsburgh, NY a daughter of Donald & Helen (Marsha) Gravelle. She attended Lisbon Central School and graduated from Canton High School. She later married Amos Brooks Sr. on July 20, 1968 in Morristown, NY. The couple later divorced.

She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, wrestling, watching NASCAR and spending time with her family. Memorial contributions can be made to the Richard E. Winter Cancer Center, 5 Lyons Place, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
