Dorette A. Calkins

Dorette Anne Calkins age 75, of Lisbon, NY passed away Friday March 15, 2024 at Canton Potsdam Hospital. Per her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Dorette was born February 27, 1949 in Ogdensburg, NY to the late Leo and Clair (Paquette) Bluteau. After high school, Dorette and the late Robert Brashaw ran the Ogdensburg movie theater for years.She than went to work and later retired from Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, working in the housekeeping department. Dorette married Richard Dilcox in 2000. He predeceased her in 2002. She later married Donald Calkins in April 2009, he predeceased her in 2018 Dorette enjoyed watching the cooking channel, gardening spices and vegetables, sewing, and spending time with her family And her dog precious.

Mrs. Calkins is survived by her sons, James Brashaw and his companion Rebecca Holt of Ogdensburg, Sean (Carla) Brashaw of Theresa, NY; her daughters, Karen (Christopher) Bidwell of Dexter, NY and Michelle Brashaw and her companion Tom Sawyer of Ogdensburg; her step children, Larry (Angie) Calkins of Lisbon, Michael (Nikki) Calkins of Lisbon, Tina Calkins of Ogdensburg, and Michelle Smithers of Ogdensburg; her grandchildren, Jorden Brashaw, Dillion Binion, Zachary Bidwell, Cote Bidwell, Holden Brashaw, Dustin Brashaw, and Desiree Palmer; many step grandchildren; a great grandchild, Lily; and several cousins.
