Doris F. Reed

Graveside Services for Doris F. Reed, age 95 of Buford, GA and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held 10:00am June 22, 2013 at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Eel Weir, with Rev. Jay Seymour officiating. Mrs. Reed passed away Sunday Nov 4, 2012 at the Andrew T. Parker Hospice House in Snellville, GA.

Surviving are two daughters Jeannine Dodds of Dacula, GA and Kimberly Andrews & her husband James of Buford, GA; three grandchildren Stephen Dodds & his wife Debra of Cohocton, NY, Randy Dodds of Dacula, GA. and Eric Dodds & his wife Virginia of Largo, FL; great grandchildren Heather, Stephanie and David M. Dodds along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.

Doris was predeceased by her husband Clarence; two sisters Eunice Murray and Nancy Ochsenwald; two brothers Dr. George Arnold and Richard Arnold.

She was born on May 7, 1917 in Watertown, NY the daughter of George W. & Myrtle (Tuttle) Arnold. She attended Ogdensburg Free Academy and the Roethel Business School. She married Clarence S. Reed on February 17, 1936 at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Theresa, NY.

Doris was employed as a secretary/accountant for Pepsi Cola Bottlers in Ogdensburg for 14 years, and in1984, she relocated to FL with her daughter Kim. In 2005 Doris along with her daughter, Kim and son-in law, Jim relocated to Buford, GA.

She enjoyed reading, sewing and in her later years was a volunteer teacher for elementary students in Largo, FL.
