

Funeral services with military honors for Douglas M. Andrews, age 64 of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday (June 26, 2014) at 4:00pm at Foxwood Memorial Park with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Mr. Andrews passed away on Sunday (June 22, 2014) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Surviving is his sister Deborah Perretta & her husband John of Morristown; two nieces Amy Perretta & her companion Tim Dawley of Ogdensburg and Andria Johnson & her husband Jeff of Brier Hill; a nephew David Perretta & his wife Sarah of Hammond; great-nieces & nephews Jaylene & Kayleb Dawley, Dominic & Hunter Perretta, Sidney, Mia, Ava & Wyatt Johnson; along with special care givers Debbie & Jim Tyo of Ogdensburg and many friends.
Doug was born in Rochester NY on January 18, 1950 a son of the late Donald J. & Rosabel (Painter) Andrews. He graduated from East Ridge High School in Rochester and entered the US Army from July 1968 – January 1972 when he was honorably discharged. A previous marriage to Margaret Redfield ended in divorce.
He worked as a chef at the French Quarters in Ft. Meyers & Sanibel Florida for many years, along with landscaping and painting during his career. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and socializing with friends.
