Edwin "Bub" Boismenu

A Mass of Christian Burial for Edwin “Bub” G. Boismenu, age 98 of W. Seneca, NY and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday (Nov 30th) with a prayer service at 9:30am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery with full military honors.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Nov 29th) from 4:00-8:00pm at the Lakeside Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 1340 Union Road West Seneca NY. Mr. Boismenu passed away on November 25, 2017.

Surviving are his children Michael (Penny), Hank (Carol), Thomas (Marge), Paul (Michelle); a brother Ronald (Beverly) Boismenu; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren along with nieces, nephews & cousins.

His wife Alice; a son James; two sisters Virginia & Carol and two brothers Rick & Gerald predeceased him.

“Bub” was born on Jun 3, 1919 in Ogdensburg NY a son of the late Eldric & Clara (Graham) Boismenu. He attended local schools for his education and entered the United States Army in 1941 until 1945 when he was honorably discharged. He later married Alice Murphy on April 7, 1947 in Buffalo, NY. In 1951 he began his career with American Airlines at the Buffalo Airport as an electrician where he worked until 1983 when he retired.
