Eugene L. Fobare

Funeral services for Eugene L. Fobare, age 84 of Rensselaer Falls NY will be held Thursday (April 23, 2015) at 1:00pm at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Ogdensburg with Rev. Kevin O’Brien officiating. Burial will follow the service at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (April 22, 2015) from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-9:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton (5821 US Hwy 11) under the direction of the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.

Surviving is his wife June Fobare; three sons and their wives Steven (Gayle) Fobare, Wayne (Mary) Fobare and William (Julie) Fobare all of Rensselaer Falls; a sister Alice Carr of Waddington; 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

His parents along with two brothers Paul & Lawrence Fobare and two sisters Rita Robinson and Eleanor Winslow predeceased him.

Eugene was born on February 12, 1931 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of Charles & Ethel (Lameroux) Fobare. He graduated from Waddington High School and later married June B. Crites on September 29, 1956 at St. Mary’s Church in Waddington.

Eugene owned and operated the family farm in Rensselaer Falls for 58years and enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards, riding his motor cycle, teasing young children, telling jokes and spending time with his family.
