Frances "Jean" Sargent

Funeral services for Frances “Jean” Sargent age 86 of Ogdensburg, will be held on Friday January 2, 2015 at 12:00pm at Foxwood Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Mrs. Sargent passed away at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility on December 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her husband Leonard; two daughters Mary Lou Sweeney & her husband Patrick and Barbara Tucci & her husband Carl; a sister Martha Demers all of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Brian Sweeney & his wife Amy, Jacqueline Farrell & her husband Mike of Rochester, Kevin Sweeney & his wife Jennifer of Ogdensburg, Matthew Tucci & his wife Erin of Canastota, Jill Holt & her husband Jeff of Seattle WA and Jennifer Leroux & her husband Jeremy of Trumansburg NY; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Siblings James Miller, Burt Miller and Rena Lewis predeceased her.

Jean was born on April 10, 1928 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Morris & Anna (Tebo) Miller. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married Leonard H. Sargent on November 20, 1946 at Notre Dame Church with Msgr. AD Charbonneau officiating. Jean was employed at Kinney Drugs Store for 17 years in the cosmetics department and was an active Notre Dame parishioner. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, reading and spending time with her family.
