Frances "Pauline" L. Amo, age 89, of Ogdensburg, passed away on Saturday February 24, 2018 at the Riverledge Healthcare Facility surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday February 27th at 10:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Justin Thomas officiating. Her place of rest is at Foxwood Memorial Park with her husband.
Calling hours will be held on Monday February 26th from 12:00-2:00pm & 4:00-6:00pm at the funeral home.
Surviving are her loving children Richard (Valerie) Amo of Ogdensburg, Timothy (Sally) Amo of Lisbon, Michael (Tammy) Amo of Lisbon and Debra Fields & her companion Paul Girard of Ogdensburg; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters Yvonne Robinson & Ida Mae McGregor both of Massena and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Arthur M. Amo, a son Robert W. Amo and siblings Carl Duquette, Leo Duquette, Ernie Duquette, Kathleen Saunders, Dorothy Hardbeck, Mary Dora Lashomb and Irene Losey.
“Pauline” was born on March 29, 1928 in Massena NY, a daughter of the late Amos & Albina (Berthiaume) Duquette. She attended Hogansburg Schools for her education, and later married Arthur Michael Amo On December 16, 1947 at Notre Dame Church. She spent several years raising her family, and later went to work as a nurse’s aide for St. Joseph’s Home until she retired.
