Franklin A. Preston

Funeral services for Franklin A. Preston, age 66 of Hammond will be held on Thursday (Aug 8, 2013) at 12:00noon at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor David Sheppard officiating. Burial will follow the service at Ingham Cemetery in Brier Hill.

Calling hours will be held also on Thursday from 11:00am until the time of the service. Mr. Preston passed into the care of our Lords hands on Aug 3, 2013 surrounded by his loving family at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Surviving are his children Franklin Preston of Hammond; three daughters Helen Paquette & her husband Richard of Hammond, Judy Preston & her companion Arnie Slate of Theresa, NY; Holly Preston & her companion Michael Noody of Hammond; three brothers Thomas Preston of Canton, Henry Preston of Ogdensburg, James Preston of Hammond; grandchildren Desiree, Autumn & Levi Rogers, Hannah Preston, Tyler Cardinal and Marissa Paquette; great-grandchildren Braiden & Alyssa VanOrman and many nieces, nephews & cousins. Siblings Dale, Alfred, Donald & Ronald Preston, Mary Elizabeth Preston and Joyce Clark predeceased him.

Frank was born on July 18, 1947 in Hammond, NY a son of the late Alfred & Phyllis (Goodwin) Preston. He attended Morristown & Hammond schools for his education. He was employed at McLear’s Cottages for 34 years and enjoyed lawn work, gardening, watching hummingbirds & wrestling, going to Price Chopper and spending time with his wonderful family.
