Gail M. Moquin

A Memorial Service for Gail M. Moquin, age72, of Ogdensburg, will be held at 2:00pm on Friday July 13, 2018 at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Gail passed away Sunday morning (July 1, 2018) at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. At her request, there will be no visitation prior to the funeral service.

She is survived by her sisters Joan Soper of Brier Hill, Debra Moquin of Ogdensburg and Tina Leafe of Massena; brothers Bruce Moquin of California, Terry Moquin of Morristown, Tim Moquin of Hammond, and Alan Nicholson of California, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Two brothers Richard and Wayne Moquin, and a sister Cynthia Harvey predeceased her.

Gail Mary Moquin was born on November 18, 1945 in Potsdam NY, a daughter of the late Leonard & Leona (Burns) Moquin. She graduated from Morristown Central School, then moved to Syracuse, California, and Oregon where she worked and lived for many years. While she was employed with the Epson Corporation as their senior supervisor, she was awarded the opportunity to travel and live in Japan for a period of time. She retired in 2007 dedicating 35 years to her career. She later moved to Maine, and eventually back to St. Lawrence County to live closer to family.

She was a member of the Women of the North. She enjoyed woodworking, making canes and walking sticks for friends and family, making bird feeders, gardening, playing cards with her siblings, painting, taking trips on her Spyder, helping friends with carpentry projects, going to the casino, and spending time with her friends and family.

Gail enjoyed life, she was always busy working on a new art or home renovation project. She had a special place in her heart for animals, and you could always count on her to be straightforward.

I was so sadden to see that Gail had passed. She was an amazing women who I had the pleasure of knowing for years. Her laughter was contagious and she was always ready to try and lift anyone's spirits. Fly high my friend you have helped so many including myself be better. I hope the family finds peace at this time in their joyous memories of their loved one. Rest in peace. My prayers are with you all.
