

Jim is survived by his two daughters, Megan Tallman of Ogdensburg and Logan Tallman of Syracuse; two cherished grandchildren, Gage and Alivia; his former wife and lifelong friend, Denise Tallman of Ogdensburg; his brother, Jason Tallman of Colton; and two aunts, Betty Glennon of Altona, NY, and Nancy Legault of Simpsonville, SC.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sandra Tallman in 2016 and Leonard Tallman in 2025, as well as his infant son, Joseph Leonard Tallman.
Born on June 23, 1969, in Malone, NY, Jim was the son of the late Leonard and Sandra (LaPoint) Tallman. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married Denise Moore. Though the couple eventually divorced, they remained close friends throughout the years.
Jim began his professional career at CompAS in Ogdensburg and went on to work at Corning Glass, where he dedicated 28½ years of service before retiring in 2025 due to illness.
A former Peewee football coach, Jim had a passion for golfing, painting, and spending time outdoors. He was a devoted fan of the New York Jets and loved his dog, Cyrus. Most of all, Jim was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family deeply.
