Jane M. Zanker

Funeral services for Jane M. Zanker, age 65 of State Hwy 68 Ogdensburg will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday (Nov 21, 2015) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Thoms officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Saturday prior to the funeral from 1:00-4:00pm. Mrs. Zanker passed away on Saturday (Nov 14, 2015) at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her husband Clark; two sons Clark Zanker Jr. & his wife Jodi of Ogdensburg, Shannon Zanker & his companion Jessica LaRock of Heuvelton; two daughters Shelley Finley & her husband Scott and Sherry Zanker both of Ogdensburg; three brothers Timothy Simmons of Ogdensburg, Raymond Simmons & his wife Nancy of Constantia and Roger Simmons & his wife Barb of GA; two sisters Colleen Spriggs & her companion Gordon Touron of Parsons TN and Tina Willard of Ogdensburg; a sister-in-law Dot Simmons of Heuvelton, 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews & cousins. Two brothers William & Walter Simmons predeceased her.

Jane was born on January 19, 1950 in Ogdensburg NY; a daughter of the late Ervin & Elizabeth (Amo) Simmons. She attended Heuvelton Central School for her education and later married Clark M. Zanker on January 27, 1968 at the Gouverneur Methodist Church.

During her career she worked at the Heuvelton Library, Boys & Girls Club, Rensselaer Falls ICF and Acco International where she retired from in 1990 with 15 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed talking on the phone, traveling, going for rides, socializing, reading, watching Dr. Phil, her pet cat, and spending time with her family.
