Funeral services for Jean E. McGuire, age 86 a resident of the United Helpers Nursing Home will be held on Tuesday (Feb 1, 2011) at 12:00noon at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery.
Calling hours will also be held on Tuesday from 11:00am until the time of the service. Ms. McGuire died Sunday (Jan 30, 2011) at the United Helpers Nursing Home where she had been a resident since 2001.
Surviving is her sister Margaret Murray of Ogdensburg along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by a sister Mary Ellen Smith and a brother Willard McGuire.
Jean was born on September 20, 1924, in Ogdensburg, NY a daughter of the late Willard & Agnes (Prevost) McGuire. She attended local schools for her education and enjoyed embroidery, needlework, watching movies and painting. She was also a Notre Dame Communicant.
Memorial contributions have been requested to the United Helpers Memorial Fund.
