JoAnn V. Brooks

Surviving is her husband Amos R. Brooks; two step-sons Amos Brooks Jr. & his wife Diane and Dean Brooks & his wife Danielle; a step-daughter Diana Marie George & her husband Phil; a nephew Randall Sabourin; step-grandchildren Logan & McKenna Brooks, Josh & Felicia Barkley and Miley Brooks; a special friend Nathan Durand & his fiancé Alicia Miller and their daughter Hailey Durand.

A sister Marion VanDoorn predeceased her.

JoAnn was born on Sept 29, 1950 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Harry & Elizabeth (Hyde) Pike. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy High School and later married Amos R. Brooks on Sept 29, 2001 at the VFW in Ogdensburg with Judge Robert Morrow officiating the couple’s marriage.

During her career she was employed at Standard Shade Roller from July 1969 until February 1996, and later with Newell’s manufacturing from May 1997 to March 2002 when she retired.

JoAnn was a member of the VFW # 2936 Women’s Auxiliary and enjoyed crossword puzzles, playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her family.
