

John L. Carson Sr. age 67 of Carthage passed away peacefully on March 16, 2015 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with his loving wife Carol and family by his side. A graveside service will be held at a later date in Williamsport PA.
John is survived by his son John L. Carson Jr. and his companion Amanda Kline and her two children Matt and Jordyn Kline; two grandchildren Colin John, and Emma Carson; two brothers George Carson of Williamsport PA and Lenny and Jennifer Carson of The Jersey Shore PA.; a sister Sandra (Carson) Hill of Williamsport PA., along with several nieces, nephews & cousins. A brother in-law Tim Hill predeceased him.
John was born in Williamsport PA on July 18, 1947, a son of the late James and Doris (Ott) Carson. He attended schools in Williamsport, PA and later entered the United State Marine Corp from 1968 to 1972 during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, John returned to school and graduated from Auto Repair School with honors.
He later married Carol D. Hall on August 31, 1974 in Osceola PA and began his roofing, siding and auto body repairs business until becoming disabled in 1984. He was a member of the Carthage VFW and enjoyed restoring Mopar cars, collecting antiques, spending time with his family and picking on his wife, teasing children and making people laugh.
