Funeral services for Joyce C. Bremer, age 81 of Dearborn Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (September 10, 2011) at 1:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon David Sandburg officiating. Burial will be in Kars, Ontario privately with the family.
Calling hours will also be held on Saturday from 12:00noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Bremer died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.
Surviving is her husband Frederick; a son Alfred; a brother Kenneth McCullum; two sisters Evelyn Dubinsky and Audrey Hartwick all of Ontario along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Joyce’s siblings Wellington, Russell, Olive & Flora predeceased her.
Joyce was born September 5, 1930 in Osgoode, Ontario, a daughter of John & Susan (Rodford) McCullum. She graduated from Osgoode High School and married Frederick H. Bremer on February 6, 1954 in Nanuet, NY. She worked as a nurse’s aide in Toronto and Ottawa for a period, and then was a homemaker for many years. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling knitting and sewing.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
