Karen D. Rupert

Funeral services for Karen D. Rupert, age 46 of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday December 6, 2014 at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pine Hill Cemetery in Eel Weir.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. Ms. Rupert passed away on Tuesday evening December 2, 2014 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Surviving are her parents John & Sandra Rupert of Ogdensburg; a sister Robyn Rupert & her fiancée Jamie Hutton of Rossie; Godchildren Jessica & Alison Hockey of Brier Hill; Aunts & Uncles Ron & Donna Bowden of Lisbon, Jean Holmes of Ogdensburg, Jerry & Barb Rupert of Waddington, Al Rupert of Pope Mills, Albert & Kathie Edwards of Florida, Danny & Lori Edwards of Maine, Lynn Edwards of Utica, Leanne & Michael Frisbie of Maine along with their families.

Karen was born on April 3, 1968 in Alexandria Bay NY, the daughter of John & Sandra (Edwards) Rupert. She graduated from Morristown Central School where she was the valedictorian of her class, and continued her education at Plattsburgh State where she obtained a degree in elementary education and science.

She worked at Wesley Island and Bonnie Castle in the summers during college years, and later as a substitute teacher for Morristown & Hammond Central Schools after receiving her degrees. In most recent years, Karen was employed at Acco Brands Distribution Center in Ogdensburg.

Karen enjoyed reading, sightseeing, cooking, her pet cat, watching sports especially the Boston Red Socks and socializing with family and friends on the computer.
