Kenneth R. McDonald III

November 26, 1989July 25, 2020

A memorial service for Kenneth R. McDonald III, 30, of Tarpon Springs, FL, will be held at a time to be determined due to COVID-19 restrictions. Burial will be in the Ogdensburgh Cemetery. Kenny passed away unexpectedly on Saturday (July 25, 2020).

He is survived by his mother Diane Burwell of Live Oak, FL, paternal grandmother Dawn McDonald of Sarasota, FL, a sister Heather McDonald of Clearwater, FL, a niece Kaitlyn McDonald, an uncle Edward “Roillie” (Mary) Burwell of Ogdensburg, NY, aunts Valerie Schneller of Liverpool, NY and Laura (Michael) Hills of Granville, OH, cousins Ashley LaRock, Joel Schneller, Kristen (Scott) Funkhouser, Elizabeth Hills, Matthew Hills, Jillian Burwell, Jennifer Burwell and Jessica Burwell, and several other cousins.

His father Kenneth R. McDonald Jr., maternal grandparents Patricia and Morris Burwell and a paternal grandfather Kenneth R. McDonald Sr. predeceased Kenny.

Kenneth was born on November 26, 1989 a son of the late Kenneth McDonald Jr. and Diane Burwell in Watertown, NY. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 2007. Throughout his career in Florida, he worked maintenance on high performance cars in Orlando, worked for Stable Concrete in St. Petersburg, and Aquatic Plant Removal in Tarpon Springs, but his favorite job was welding on cellular towers, which was a travelling job where he worked in many different states.

Kenny loved fishing for anything and everything, whether it was in freshwater or salt water, and could always be found by the water. He was a NY Yankees and NY Mets fan, enjoyed working with his hands, working on engineer-motivated projects, and any project dealing with cement. Kenny was fun, extremely loving and honored his relationships with his friends and family, especially to his niece Kaitlyn, to which he was a great uncle.

Diane, Heather and Mrs McDonald,
Sorry to hear of Kenny’s passing. I have so many fond memories of Kenny and my children playing, fishing, and doing what kids do. His famous jumps off the deck in the pool, and there was not a tree Kenny could not climb! Diane and Russ referred to him as my fourth son because our kids were together so much growing up. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May he Rest In Peace.
