Kim A. Simpson

Funeral services for Kim A. Simpson, age 56, of the Rensselaer Falls ICF, will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Robert Schirmer officiating. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery in Lisbon.

Kim passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center.

Kim was born in Islip, New York, on December 5, 1969 to Florence Simpson. Throughout her life, Kim faced many challenges as a result of her disability, but she had a special ability to find happiness in the simple things that brought her comfort and joy. She especially loved listening to music, being pampered, and attending concerts. These experiences brought smiles to her face and provided many cherished moments for those who cared for her.

Kim was blessed to have a caring support system throughout her life. She is survived by her guardian, Jamie Chase of Ogdensburg, as well as the many caregivers and housemates from her home at the Rensselaer Falls ICF. They were an important part of Kim’s daily life and shared many memories and special moments with her over the years.

Kim’s life touched those who knew and cared for her. While her journey was different from many others, she experienced love, companionship, music, and moments of happiness that made her life meaningful to those around her. She will be remembered fondly by her guardian, caregivers, housemates, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
