A Memorial Service for Leilia N. (Cliff) Iovannisci, age 89 of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday (Feb 21, 2019) at 1:30pm at the St Joseph’s Home Chapel with Deacon Anthony Pastizzo officiating. Entombment will follow at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Iovannisci passed away on Monday (Feb 18, 2019) at the St. Joseph’s Home with her loving family by her side. Arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving is her son Lee “Pete” & Julie Cliff of Ogdensburg; a special niece Sandra Bell of Ogdensburg along with many other nieces, nephews & cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Basil Jackson and a sister Mary Ann “Honey” Barber.
Leilia was born on November 13, 1929 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Gordon & Leith (Davidson) Jackson. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and later married Leon Cliff. Their marriage ended, and she again found love and married Anthony “Tony” Iovannisci. He predeceased her in 1991.
During her career, she worked in food service at the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center and the Binghamton Developmental Center. She enjoyed Sunday afternoon rides, watching horse racing at the tracks, reading, shopping and gardening.
