Linda was born in Alexandria Bay, NY, a daughter of the late Harold and Josephine (Corrice) Hyde. She attended Hammond Central School and, on December 5, 1964, married Nelson H. “Sonny” Bogart Jr. in Hammond. Together, they built a life centered around family, hard work, and love.
She worked as a laborer at Newell Manufacturing and later at Acco International, from which she retired in 1999. She took great pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic and willingness to help others.
Linda was a member of the women’s bowling leagues in both Ogdensburg and Theresa for many years. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, helping others, and, most of all, spending time with her family. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, generosity, and caring nature touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Candice Phillips of Canton; two sisters, Anne Hernandez of Texas and Judy (Michael) Bogart of Florida; her brother, James (Sandy) Hyde of Hammond; grandchildren, Alexa Trimm, Brianna Trimm, Matthew Phillips, and John Phillips; great-grandchildren, Sophia Phillips, Finleigh Bush, Lillian Bush, Cason Bush, Adalynn Bush, Eleanor Phillips and Luke Phillips; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Nelson “Sonny”; her daughter, Linda Trimm; her sister, Patricia Thivierge; and three brothers, Murton Hyde, Elmer Hyde, and Gary Hyde.
Linda will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her hardworking spirit, kind heart, and love for her family will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a family who will carry her love with them always.
