Linda L. Hicks

Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 2:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Hicks passed away on Saturday (May 28, 2016) at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are her children Adam Duvall & his companion Ann Smith of Lisbon and Connie (Cedric) Edwards of Frederick, OK; twelve brothers Walter (Evelyn) Parmeter, Arthur (Elizabeth Parmeter, Donald Parmeter, Lloyd Parmeter and Elmer (Eleanor) Parmeter of Lisbon, Stewart (Blondie) Parmeter of Hammond, Raymond Parmeter, Ronald Parmeter and Bruce (Taynon) Parmeter of Lisbon, Richard Parmeter of Ogdensburg, John Parmeter of Lisbon and James (Laura) Parmeter of Madrid; five sisters Katherine Marcellus of Lisbon, Rosemary Savage of Brier Hill, Donna Parmeter of Ogdensburg, Bonnie Brock of Ogdensburg and Beatrice (Hollis) Mason of Lisbon; two grandchildren Adrian Duvall of Lisbon and Johnny Rheome of Oklahoma; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Three brothers Wilford, William & Marvin Parmeter and a sister Barbara Meashaw predeceased her.

Linda was born on July 24, 1952 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Howard & Edna (Middlemiss) Parmeter. She attended Madrid Waddington School and later married William C. Hicks which ended, but the couple remained friends.

Linda was an active community volunteer with the Ogdensburg and Waddington Neighborhood Centers, Lisbon Homecoming Committee and the Ogdensburg Boys & Girls Club Expo for many years. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, gardening, birdwatching, fishing, playing bingo, listening to country music and spending time with her family, friends and her poodles.
