

Calling hours will also be held on Saturday from 9:00am to 11:00am prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Wilson passed away at St. Joseph’s Home on July 16, 2025.
Surviving is her son Ira Claude & Sarah Wilson II of Inverness, FL; daughters Claudia Mayhew of Ogdensburg, Judith Porter of Maple Valley, WA, Peggy & Daniel Simmons of Rensselaer Falls and Nancy & Paul Feather of Texas; grandchildren Debbie & Eric Richards, Richard Mayhew II, Paul & Beth Porter, Rebecca Miccoli & Jeff Thomas, Louis Benware II, Karen & Mike Auruchio, Ira Claude & Amanda Wilson III, Ben & Julie Wilson, Josh Wilson, Leah Wilson, Dan Wilson, Sarah & Erik Marcov and Chet Feather; and a sister Reta Martin of Lisbon.
Lola was predeceased by her husband Claude in 2009; a sister Letha Laufer; and brothers Glen, Keith, Lyle & Gerald Lapier.
Lola was born on August 20, 1923 in Iroquois Ontario, a daughter of Basil & Minnie (Thompson) LaPier. She married Ira Claude Wilson on December 12, 1942 in Hammond, NY. During her career she operated the family farm with her husband in the Town of Lisbon and then relocated to DePeyster to farm from 1957 to 1965. The couple then moved to Philadelphia from 1965 – 1979. Lola and her husband retired from farming and she went to work at the Indian River School cafeteria until her retirement. She enjoyed oil painting, cake decorating, sewing, crocheting, crafting, playing bingo, card making and wintering in Florida.
