Lynne F. Mason

January 19, 1947April 29, 2018

A celebration of life service for Lynne F. Mason, 71, of Brier Hill will be held at the Dobisky Center on 100 Riverside Avenue in Ogdensburg, NY on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 2:45 to 5:15pm. Lynne passed away Sunday, April 29 2018 at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are her husband Jerry; sons Harold (Viola) Helm and Rikki Hotaling; daughters Malissa (Kenneth) Lockwood and Rosalie White; brothers Lawrence “Butch” Laflair and David Laflair and a sister Shirley Maynard; grandchildren Yvonne Ducharme, Linda Mason-Phillips, Nazmun Dave, Razia Phillips, Jasmine Warwick, Macy Helm, Fayelynn Burgess, Larinda Kielty, Cody Chamberlain, Taz Mason, Nichols Mason, Brinionna White as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her stepson Jerry Mason Jr., her stepfather Frederick Bartz, and a sister Linda Laflair.

Lynne was born January 19 1947, a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Lucher) Laflair. She earned her high school diploma from Burnt-Knox High School in the Schenectady, NY area. She married Jerry Mason on December 31 1989 at the home of the bride in Schenectady. She was employed at Swan Cleaners, Kem Cleaners, and B&B Rides while living in the Schenectady area. Lynne moved to Northern New York in the early 1990s but spent much of her time between the North Country and Schenectady during the following decade.

Lynne enjoyed going to garage sales, taking rides in the car, cooking, especially making ice cream cakes for family birthdays, her pug dogs, and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren.
