Marguerite V. Harvey

Graveside services for Marguerite V. Harvey, age 100 of County Rt 6, Hammond will be held on Thursday (July 14, 2022) at 1:00pm at the Pine Hill Cemetery in Morristown. Mrs. Harvey passed away early Saturday morning July 9, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are five sons, Roger “Butch” Harvey & his companion Bette DeRuchia of Massena, John Harvey & his companion Therese Oglesby of Augusta, GA, Clinton (Carol) Harvey of Canastota, NY, Philip (Bonnie) Harvey of Verona Beach, NY and David Harvey of Cicero; a daughter JoAnne Trippi of Hammond; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a twin sister Mary Cashin of New Jersey; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband H. Roger Harvey in 2000; two brothers Leon & Lewis White; and two sisters Rose Fink and Theresa Scherding.

Marguerite was born on November 16, 1921 in Morristown. She graduated from Morristown High School, and was later married to H. Roger Harvey on February 29, 1944 at the Stone Presbyterian Church.

During her career she farmed alongside her husband for many years and then went to work at WT Grants, JJ Newberry’s, Triangle Shoe Store, Edwardsville Grocery, Fisherman’s Landing and was a homemaker.
