

Marjorie L. Howes, age 78 of the Bishop Road in Heuvelton died Tuesday (June 6, 2017) at her home surrounded by her loving family. There will be no public services as per her request. Arrangement are entrusted to the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
Surviving is her husband Raymond; two sons Richard Howes of VA and Raymond Howes of Ogdensburg; three daughters Sherree (Leo) Rotella of Margaretville, Shirley Camp of VA and Rebecca Howes of PA; a brother David (Anne) Donnelly of Ogdensburg; five sisters Mary LaRock of Ogdensburg, Nettie Palmer of Heuvelton, Cassie Donnelly of Hammond, Wanda McGaw of Ogdensburg and Nancy (Art) Shattuck of Heuvelton; grandchildren Richard Howes, Meggan & Robert Dawson, Robert, Sandra & Phillip Mills, Cody Howes, Eileen Kirby, Crystal Rodriguez and Emily Bouchey; several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter Michelle Howes; a grandson Eric; four brothers Robert, Howard, Donald and “Hank” Donnelly along with a sister Ulla Donnelly.
Marjorie was born on Sept 16, 1938 in Dickenson’s Landing, Ontario, a daughter of the late Percy & Eileen (Ogel) Donnelly. She attended schools in Lisbon and Morristown and later continued her education at St. Lawrence Lewis Boces where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree.
On December 2, 1956, she married Raymond C. Howes at the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Morristown with Fr. John McCarthy officiating the couple’s marriage. During her career she was employed at A. Barton Hepburn Hospital from 1967 to 1979 as an LPN and later became employed at United Helpers Nursing Home where she worked until her retirement in 2003.
She was a member of the St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ogdensburg and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, listening to country music and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
