

Surviving is his wife Tamara of Hammond, a son Hilmar (Julie) Juell of Hammond; a daughter Karin (James) Blackburn of Rensselaer Falls; a sister Debra Juell of San Martin, CA; grandchildren Courtney Piatt (Skyler Emberson), Chauncey Dupuis, Quintin Juell, Peytin Blackburn, Cassidy Juell, and Kadence Juell.
Two brothers David & Mark Juell predeceased him.
Martin was born on July 29, 1953 in Ottawa IL, a son of the late John B. & Dorothy A. (Gerding) Juell. He graduated High School and continued his education at Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL. He enlisted in the United States Airforce in 1973 and later married Tamara Wischnewski on December 1, 1978. Martin worked as a dietician for 20 years while enlisted in the Air force, and received his honorable discharge on January 31, 1993. He found himself working again as a dietician for two additional years at a nursing home in Illinois. He then worked several part-time jobs until he permanently retired in 2008.
He was a member of the Amvets and American Legion, and enjoyed Ancestry, working on computers, family time, and especially making holiday cookies with the grandchildren.
